Loaded down

Due to the massive amount of school work, this will be my only post for this weekend. I have two research papers to write and three tests to study for. Yes, all due next week. Unfortunatley, I cannot drink beverages with caffine...so I will have to rely on sweets to keep me up and working.

Yesterday Maria and I went with her neice stephanie to see High School Musical 3. Her neice is in love with the lead guy, troy. The movie was....good but not worth buying or seeing again. lol.

However, after that experience of being in a movie theater with a bunch of 12/13 year olds...Im afraid of what childhood is coming to. I could not believe my ears, I heard very unapporiate remarks and comments made by children. Why do they want to grow up sooo fast. It feels like what my friends talked about when they were 17, except these are 12 year olds. ewwwwww!! What is happening to this world? I assured Stephanie that if she ever had anything on her mind that she could not tell her parents, she could always tell me. I don't know what else to do...I can't be there everyday at every moment to make sure she is making good decisions. In this big city that I live in, kids are growing up too fast and always being pressured to do things. The three year old Nicole is in preschool and she told her mom that she wants a cell phone for Christmas from Santa. She thinks because she is a 'big girl' and goes to school like her older sister she deserves a real one. Im afraid of what my kids might go through...and they are not even born yet!

see ya later,

candice

Good luck with the homework. Try to squeeze in some fun during the weekend!
BTW, I looked up the website on the shoes you mentioned in the previous post; strange looking, but they look like they might be comfy!

I know. Every time I see a young kid with a cell phone, I want to kick their parents. I have a four year old grandson. I sure hope when I visit to greet his baby sister into the world in December, he is still without cell phone use. By the way, your Aunt Nola is a wonderful, smart, down-to-earth friend whom I've come to cherish. She'll always be there for you and give you good advice. As she does me. But it sounds like you're a smart girl in your own right!
